PM Series Magnet
Series DescriptionThe PM series magnet is a high-strength Neodymium magnet securely housed within a stainless-steel socket cap screw, offering a rugged and compact solution for proximity sensing and magnetic triggering applications. Available in both North Pole and South Pole versions, this series provides flexibility for polarity-specific sensing requirements.
Design Notes:
Gap is from the face of the sensor to the surface of the magnet’s South Pole surface.
Clear “S” engraving on South Pole variant or “N” for North Pole variant ensures quick visual identification during installation.
Gaps are calculated and will vary slightly part to part.
Use non-magnetic mounting hardware when installing.
Refer to the sensor specifications sheet to determine operate gap range.
The presence of ferrous metals near the magnet effects field strength at the sensor location.
The presence of steel, magnets, or electromagnetic fields will affect the operate gap range.
