The Littelfuse SSAC TL120A5T is a solid-state lockout timer module for 120 V AC, with a 0.5 A solid-state output (10 A inrush). Its delay is fixed at 5 minutes, set at the factory.
Protects a compressor from short cycling. On the first closure of the thermostat (S1) the compressor relay energizes after a 1 second delay that stops contactor chatter; when S1 opens or power is lost the output opens and stays open for the lockout delay, so the compressor cannot restart until the head pressure has equalized. Not for use with cooling anticipator resistors or solid-state switches (see the TA series). Power must be applied 15 s for a full lockout delay.
Output: 1A SPST-NO, 1 s delay-on-make. Voltage drop about 4.2 V at full load. Setting accuracy: -15% / +35%. Supply tolerance: ±20% of nominal; 50/60 Hz.
It is surface mounted and has 0.250 in (6.3 mm) male quick-connect terminals. It operates from -40 to +70 °C and stores from -40 to +85 °C.
