The Littelfuse SSAC TA24A3 is a solid-state lockout timer module for 24 V AC, with a 1 A solid-state output (10 A inrush). Its delay is fixed at 3 minutes, set at the factory.
Prevents rapid recycling of a compressor: on the first closure of the thermostat the compressor relay energizes at once; when it opens or power is lost a lockout delay starts and the relay cannot energize until it ends. It bypasses cooling anticipators (1800 ohms or more), will not start the compressor on low line voltage, and its fast initiate time keeps thermostat bounce from chattering the relay. The 30 s build gives anti-reversing protection for scroll compressors.
Output: 1A SPST-NO, low-voltage protection, anticipator bypass. Voltage drop about 1.25 V at full load. Setting accuracy: -15% / +35%.
It is surface mounted and has 0.250 in (6.3 mm) male quick-connect terminals. It operates from -40 to +70 °C and stores from -40 to +85 °C.
