The Littelfuse SSAC ECSL4HBC is a single-phase AC undercurrent sensor with a built-in toroidal current sensor and an isolated SPDT relay output, powered from 120 V AC. Its trip point is adjustable from 5 to 50 A. The trip delay is adjustable from 0.5 to 50 s, with a 1 s start-up delay so starting current does not trip it.
Energizes when a fault is sensed throughout the trip delay; resets when the current returns to normal or zero. Detects locked rotor, loss of load, an open heater or lamp load, or proves an operation is taking place.
Output: 10 A resistive @ 240 VAC; 1/4 hp @ 125 VAC, 1/2 hp @ 250 VAC. Sensor: Built-in toroidal sensor (through-hole wiring); 50 A-turns steady, 300 A-turns inrush for 10 s. Trip point: Adjustable trip point, 5-50 A. Hysteresis: ≈±5%. Supply tolerance: -20% / +10% of nominal; 50/60 Hz. Indicator: LED (trip / output status). Life: 1,000,000 operations mechanical, 100,000 operations electrical.
It is surface mounted with two #6 screws and has 0.250 in (6.3 mm) male quick-connect terminals. Dimensions: 88.9 x 63.5 x 44.5 mm (3.5 x 2.5 x 1.75 in), H x W x D. It operates from -40 to +60 °C and stores from -40 to +85 °C.
