The OptiFuse R1812-260-13-R is a 2.6 A hold 1812 surface-mount resettable PTC fuse, rated 13.2 VDC maximum.
A PTC fuse carries its hold current indefinitely; on an overcurrent it heats, its resistance rises sharply and it limits the current to a trickle, then resets on its own once the fault is removed and power is cycled. This one always trips at 5 A, in max. 5.000 s at 8.0 A.
It withstands a fault current of up to 100 A at rated voltage. Resistance: minimum 0.015 Ω, 0.050 Ω maximum one hour after tripping. Tripped, it dissipates typically 1.3 W. It operates from -40 to +85 °C.
Construction: outline 4.73 x 3.41 x 1.55 mm (max.); castellated (notched) terminals; pure tin terminations.
