The OptiFuse R0805-075-R is a 750 mA hold 0805 surface-mount resettable PTC fuse, rated 6 VDC maximum.
A PTC fuse carries its hold current indefinitely; on an overcurrent it heats, its resistance rises sharply and it limits the current to a trickle, then resets on its own once the fault is removed and power is cycled. This one always trips at 1.5 A, in max. 0.20 s at 8.00 A.
It withstands a fault current of up to 40 A at rated voltage. Resistance: minimum 0.090 Ω, 0.350 Ω maximum one hour after tripping. Tripped, it dissipates typically 0.6 W. It operates from -40 to +85 °C.
Construction: outline 2.30 x 1.50 x 1.25 mm (max.); castellated (notched) terminals; pure tin terminations.
