The OptiFuse 551140 is a 140 A high amp stud automotive circuit breaker with automatic reset (SAE J553 Type I), rated 42 VDC / 48 VDC.
It is surface mount in-line; its terminals are 3/8"-16 studs (nickel plated).
Its body is thermoset plastic (UL94V-0).
It interrupts 3000 A @ 30 VDC (ABYC E-11); 1500 A @ 48 VDC. Trip times at 25 °C, as a share of the rating: 100%: no trip ( ≥ 30 min); 135%: 50 s to 30 min; 200%: 12-45 s; 300%: 3.5-15 s. It operates from -32 to +82 °C.
It is ignition protected to SAE J1171, for use in engine and fuel compartments and sealed to IP67.
Tested to SAE J553, ABYC E-11.
