The OptiFuse RS36-120 is a 1.2 A hold radial-lead resettable PTC fuse, rated 36 VDC maximum.
A PTC fuse carries its hold current indefinitely; on an overcurrent it heats, its resistance rises sharply and it limits the current to a trickle, then resets on its own once the fault is removed and power is cycled. This one always trips at 2.3 A.
It withstands a fault current of up to 40 A at rated voltage. Resistance: minimum 0.074 Ω, 0.180 Ω maximum one hour after tripping. Tripped, it dissipates typically 0.78 W. It operates from -40 to +85 °C.
Construction: outline 7.4 W x 12.2 H x 3.0 T mm (max.); lead spacing 5.1 mm; leads 24 AWG (0.51 mm); tin plated copper.
