The OptiFuse RS240-100 is a 1 A hold radial-lead resettable PTC fuse, rated 240 VAC/DC maximum.
A PTC fuse carries its hold current indefinitely; on an overcurrent it heats, its resistance rises sharply and it limits the current to a trickle, then resets on its own once the fault is removed and power is cycled. This one always trips at 2 A, in max. 21.0 s at 5 x IH.
It withstands a fault current of up to 10 A at rated voltage and interrupts up to 265 V. Resistance: minimum 0.22 Ω, 0.58 Ω maximum one hour after tripping. Tripped, it dissipates typically 2.90 W. It operates from -40 to +85 °C.
Construction: outline 18.7 W x 24.4 H x 5.1 T mm (max.); lead spacing 10.2 mm; leads 20 AWG (0.81 mm); tin plated copper.
