The OptiFuse RS240-012 is a 120 mA hold radial-lead resettable PTC fuse, rated 240 VAC/DC maximum.
A PTC fuse carries its hold current indefinitely; on an overcurrent it heats, its resistance rises sharply and it limits the current to a trickle, then resets on its own once the fault is removed and power is cycled. This one always trips at 300 mA, in max. 15.0 s at 5 x IH.
It withstands a fault current of up to 1.2 A at rated voltage and interrupts up to 265 V. Resistance: minimum 3.00 Ω, 12.00 Ω maximum one hour after tripping. Tripped, it dissipates typically 1.00 W. It operates from -40 to +85 °C.
Construction: outline 8.3 W x 10.7 H x 3.8 T mm (max.); lead spacing 5.1 mm; leads 24 AWG (0.51 mm); tin plated copper.
