The OptiFuse RALT-340 is a 3.4 A hold battery-strap resettable PTC fuse, rated 24 VDC maximum.
A PTC fuse carries its hold current indefinitely; on an overcurrent it heats, its resistance rises sharply and it limits the current to a trickle, then resets on its own once the fault is removed and power is cycled. This one always trips at 6.8 A.
It withstands a fault current of up to 100 A at rated voltage. Resistance: minimum 0.016 Ω, maximum 0.027 Ω, 0.050 Ω maximum one hour after tripping. Tripped, it dissipates typically 2.7 W. It operates from -40 to +85 °C.
Construction: outline 26.0 x 15.9 x 1.0 mm (max.); nickel strap, 0.13 mm.
