The Littelfuse Startco SB6100-100-0 is a Shock Block special-purpose ground-fault circuit interrupter: a Class C unit rated 100 A (continuous) at 240 V, open-chassis version.
It protects people from electric shock on industrial equipment and circuits beyond the reach of standard GFCI receptacles and breakers: it trips on ground-fault current above its trip level and monitors the ground connection to the load.
Trip level: 20 mA (Fixed). Trip time: inverse time trip curve (UL 943); minimum trip time 20 ms. Phases: 3-phase, 3-wire (no neutral), 60 Hz. Short-circuit current rating: 50,000 A. Ground monitoring: load-ground-connection monitor (UL 943C ground monitor/interrupt), required for class C and D; pilot wire + termination device at the load; GC-loop trip resistance 38 ± 2 Ω; open-circuit voltage 12 vdc; nominal loop current 30 mA. Output: auxiliary contact, normally open (N.O.), follows the state of the internal contactor; UL rating 4 A resistive 220/240 vac, 0.3 A resistive 250 vdc.
Enclosure: None (open chassis, UL-recognized for installation in a suitable enclosure; tamper-indicating labels installed). Operating temperature –35 °C (–31 °F) to + 40 °C (104 °F), up to + 66 °C (151 °F) with derating. Size: H 455.0 mm (17.9”); W 340.7 mm (13.4”); D 174.9 mm (6.9”).
Approvals: UL 943C recognized component (open-chassis); CSA certified (C22.2 No. 144-M91, Class 1451-01); UL 1998 compliant (revision 01 or higher).
