The Littelfuse LVSP5-2 is a cartridge surge-suppression fuse for protecting TVSS / SPD surge protective devices, with a 5 kA (8/20 µs) surge rating, rated 600 VAC.
It is sized by the surge current the protective device must withstand, not by a continuous current rating: it passes surges up to its rating and opens on a sustained fault, disconnecting a failed suppressor from the line.
Interrupting rating: 200 kA. Nominal melting I²t: 359 A²s.
