The Finder 72.01.8.400.0000 is a conductive liquid level control relay with 1C SPDT output and rated 16 A at 250 V AC, driven by a 400VAC input.
It controls the level of a conductive liquid, pumping up or down to fill or drain the tank.
It controls about a single level with one probe, or between a high and a low probe, each against a common electrode; a metal tank can serve as the common.
The setpoint covers 5 to 150 kOhm between probe and common, so it is the conductivity of the liquid that decides the part.
The probes run on 4 V AC, 0.2 mA, and alternating current is what stops them electroplating away in service.
Its run-on delay is 0.5 s or 7 s, switch selectable, so a ripple on the surface does not cycle the pump.
Its contacts are AgNi, switching loads down to 500 mW (10 V/5 mA).
It has DIN Rail mounting and box clamp terminals.
