The ATC Diversified 3-7654AD04F22SX is a diffuse photoelectric sensor, an 18 mm threaded cylindrical sensor that runs on AC or DC, with a dual FET (solid state), short-circuit protected output and a range of 18 in (0.5 m). It sees light reflected straight back off the target, so no reflector is needed.
